Apple Home Integration via Matter - Coming Soon
Matter integration is coming soon!
We’re thrilled to share that it’s currently in development, enabling compatibility with over 20 RF motorized blind brands. In the meantime, you can use this guide as a reference to understand how the integration will work once it’s available. Smart Controller models WC100 and C-R200 aren't compatible with Matter due to differences in design and capabilities.
The QR Code on the bottom of the Smart Controller is not the Matter QR Code. Please follow the instructions below to locate your Smart Controller's Matter QR Codes.
Before starting any integration, we recommend renaming your rooms and blinds in the app. This will make it easier to use voice commands later on.
Minimum Requirements
Apple Home
An Apple device with: iOS 16.1+ or iPadOS 16.1+
At least one of these devices: Apple TV 4K (3rd gen, 128 GB), Apple TV 4K (3rd gen, 64 GB), Apple TV 4K (2nd gen), Apple TV 4K (1st gen), Apple TV HD / Apple TV (4th gen), HomePod (2nd gen), HomePod (1st gen), HomePod mini
Smart Controller
Neo Smart Blinds app version 5.2.0+
Smart Controller Model C-BR300 with serial # starting with “SR". For the maximum number of blinds* per Smart Controller that can be integrated via Matter, refer to the app.
Other Models:
C-BR300 with serial # starting with “BR", compatibility is under development.
WC100 and C-R200 aren't compatible.
*A future release is being evaluated to allow users to hide specific blinds from Matter integration, giving more control over which blinds to integrate.
Step-by-step
Open the Apple Home app and tap the + button. Select Add Accessory.
If you have printed the Matter QR Code for your Smart Controller, point your camera at it to scan it. Otherwise, tap More options…, then tap Matter Accessory.
Is your Neo Smart Blinds Controller not appearing as a nearby accessory?
Ensure your Smart Controller is powered on, connected to the internet, and that your device is on the same Wi-Fi network as the Smart Controller. For more information, visit the Matter page in the Neo Smart Blinds app (Menu > Integrations > Apple Home via Matter > Access Matter Codes).
Paste your Smart Controller’s Matter Setup Code in the designated field. If you’re unsure how to copy the code, visit this help article. Tap Next, choose a room (location) or create a new one, then tap Continue.
For easy reference, we recommend renaming the device to “Smart Controller.” If you have multiple Smart Controllers, add the last 3-4 digits of its serial number to the name for differentiation. Once renamed, tap Continue.
After successfully adding the Smart Controller, the Apple Home app will guide you through adding the motorized blinds assigned to it. Tap Identify to make the blind move slightly.
Note that for larger or distant blinds, the movement might not be visible or audible.
By default, each blind will retain the name assigned in the Neo Smart Blinds app. You can edit these names for easier identification or to create natural voice commands for Siri. Once ready, tap Continue to proceed through adding all your blinds until the process is complete. Tap Done to finish.
Optional Steps
Edit the blind icon to better match the type of window covering in your home. Hold the blind you wish to edit and select Accessory Settings.
Tap the blind icon, then choose the best icon that describes your window covering.
Tap Done, then tap X in the upper-right corner.
