Controls and Features in Matter-Enabled Apps

The Neo Smart Blinds app adjusts control options to match a blind's motor features, enhancing automation flexibility. However, integration with platforms like the Home and SmartThings apps depends on the control options these apps provide. This article explains the limitations and some new hidden features to better bridge the Neo Smart Blinds App to Home and SmartThings apps.

Available Commands

Home App
Open, Close, Percentage Position* (if supported by motor).

SmartThings App
Open, Close, Stop, Percentage Position* (if supported by motor), and Preset Position (set using SmartThings settings).

*The blind will respond to percentage commands only if the motor supports this feature. If the % button appears on the blind card in the Neo Smart Blinds app and the blind reacts to its commands, the motor supports this functionality.

Current Blind Position

Home and SmartThings Apps
It will match the last command sent through the Smart Controller. Note that this may differ from the actual blind position if the blind received commands from other sources, such as manual operations, remote controls or separate Bluetooth apps.

Functional Details for Blinds Without Percentage Position Support

To enhance your experience and expand automation possibilities, we introduced a feature that converts percentage values into equivalent blind controls within the Neo Smart Blinds app.

By mapping specific ranges to the corresponding features of the blind, the Smart Controller ensures smooth operation and expanded functionality, even with motors with limited protocol capabilities.
