What you need to do:

How to check if the Smart Controller is online

You can verify this in two ways:

  1. Look at the Smart Controller’s LED. If it is breathing (pulsing) cyan (blue-green), the device is online.
  2. In the Neo Smart Blinds app, go to Menu > Smart Controllers and check the “Status” field. The Smart Controller C-BR300 always displays their current state.

Quick fix

Reboot the Smart Controller by pressing once the “R” button on the back of its case. Wait a few minutes for the Smart Controller to reconnect. A breathing/pulsing cyan (blue-green) LED indicates it is back online. If the LED is blinking in a different color or pattern, check the troubleshooting steps below.

Wi-Fi router or password has changed

Using the Neo Smart Blinds app, re-add the Smart Controller to your account without deleting it, entering the new Wi-Fi credentials during the Wi-Fi setup step.
  1. Go to the Menu>Smart Controllers.
  2. Tap Add Smart Controller.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions until the process is complete, making sure to enter the new Wi-Fi credentials. If you encounter issued during the Add Smart Controller, please refer to this article for troubleshooting.

Wi-Fi router or password hasn't changed

It's important to follow the steps in the same order as below:
  1. Power off your Wi-Fi router and extenders, if you have them.
  2. Wait about 30 seconds before powering the router back on.
  3. Wait 1–2 minutes until the router restarts and has internet access.
  4. The Smart Controller should come online shortly after. The LED at the bottom of its case will be breathing/pulsing cyan (blue-green).
  5. Open the Neo Smart Blinds app, go to Menu > Smart Controllers and check the "Status" field. It should show "Online".
    1. If the Smart Controller does not show the status "Online", without deleting it from the app, tap on "Add Smart Controller" and follow the in-app instructions until completed. If you encounter issues, refer to this article for troubleshooting.

Wi-Fi router or Smart Controller was recently relocated

The Smart Controller may be out of its signal range. Unplug the Smart Controller and plug it somewhere central in the house, closer to the router. Once plugged back in, it should come online automatically.

The LED light is breathing/pulsing magenta (red blue)

Something went wrong during the firmware update, and the Smart Controller entered Safe Mode. Press once the "R" button located on the back of the Smart Controller case to reboot it. The LED should start blinking magenta, indicating that the firmware update has started. For more details, please refer to the topic "The LED light is blinking magenta."

The LED light is blinking magenta (red blue)

A firmware update is in progress. This process normally takes up to 5 minutes to complete. Do not turn off power to the Smart Controller during this time. After the update is complete, the Smart Controller will automatically attempt to reconnect and come back online. You can visually confirm this by checking the LED, which will be breathing/pulsing cyan (blue-green).

Alternatively, you can check the Smart Controller's status in the Neo Smart Blinds app by going to Menu > Smart Controllers. C-BR300 models always display their current state.
