Relocating the Smart Controller

The Smart Controller generally covers up to 3,500 sq ft, but actual coverage depends on factors such as construction materials, house layout, number of floors, and its placement. To maximize signal distribution:
- Central placement with good Wi-Fi signal strength and higher elevation within the house help maximize signal distribution.
- Do not place the Smart Controller inside metal enclosures/cabinets or on top of Wi-Fi routers, extenders, or modems.
Relocating the Smart Controller
To relocate the Smart Controller, simply unplug it and plug it back in at the new location. For the best signal coverage, place it somewhere central in the house, within range of both the Wi-Fi router and all blinds. Once plugged back in, the Smart Controller should come online automatically. If you also need to update the Wi-Fi credentials after relocating, see the next topic.
Changing the Wi-Fi network or Wi-Fi password
Using the Neo Smart Blinds app, re-add the Smart Controller to your account without deleting it, entering the new Wi-Fi credentials during the Wi-Fi setup step.
- Go to the Menu>Smart Controllers.
- Tap Add Smart Controller.
- Follow the in-app instructions until the process is complete, making sure to enter the new Wi-Fi credentials. If you encounter issues during the Add Smart Controller process, please refer to the troubleshooting article for your specific Smart Controller model:
