Updating a Blind
Types of blind update
Whenever there is a new version of the Blue Link firmware, the app will inform that an update is available. There are two types of updates and each one has different particularities.- Noncritical update: improvements or new features available, update as soon as possible.
- Critical update: some features were disabled. Your blinds will not be fully operational. Update immediately.
Access the Update Blinds page
To update a blind, access the "Update blinds" menu, or tap on the "Update now" that will appear when accessing a blind.
Read the instructions
Before proceeding, read carefully the instructions about the update process. When you are ready to continue, tap on "OK, got it." button.
Tap on "Tap to Update" to update a blind
If you have several blinds to update, choose one that has a strong signal, then tap on "Tap to update".
Stay near to the blind, and when the update is complete, procede to the next blind
It's important to stay near to the blind during the whole update process. Once the update is finished, you can update another blind on the list. If there isn't a blind with a strong signal, move closer to a blind of your choice, until it has a strong signal. Then, proceed as explained in the steps above.
